We have open positions available on 3rd shift that runs Friday-Sunday 6 am to 6 pm (20% shift premium and overtime over 36 hours!)

Position Summary
Set up and operate the Robotic welding machine to finish weld assemblies to meet or exceed customer requirements in a timely manner. To abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and follow all Company and Department safety policies and/or procedures.
Requirements
The following listed articles are required deemed necessary by the hiring authority) for the initial acceptance of a welder. A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Minimum of one (1) year related schooling or one (1) year welding experience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals twelve (12) months. Pass OEM’s physical weld test, written welder exam which includes blueprint reading, tape measure reading and various welding questions. Maintenance experience a plus but not required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Weld parts together using a robotic welder and programming the robots to weld the parts in the correct sequence
The candidate will also be responsible for quality control, making sure that the parts are welded correctly and meet the specifications
Operate welding robots in accordance with company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
Set up or changeover robot with proper torch, wire, gas, fixture, and program per standard operating procedures
Perform regular maintenance and calibration on welding equipment and robots
Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures, ensuring proper part orientation, joint alignment, and part preparation per standard operating procedures
Work with Engineering to develop a program offline and assist in implementation on the robot
Monitor robotic welding process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality welds are produced
Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications as required to perform robotic programming and welding
Inspect completed welds for defects and perform rework as necessary
Diagnose weld quality issues and be able to eliminate variables to find the root cause
Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
Assist in training new team members on proper welding techniques and robot operation
2. Internal and/or External Relationships
2.1 Work with and takes work direction from Lead Welders and Supervisor.
2.2 Work in conjunction with Welder Trainees, Certified Welders, Fitter Welders, and Lead Welders to weld assemblies per customer print and specifications.
3. Perform Routine Maintenance Of All Equipment Utilized
3.1 Maintain all equipment in good working order during daily operations.
3.2 Adhere to established preventive maintenance plan.
3.3 Make recommendations for equipment maintenance to Supervisor.
4. Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area
4.1 Work area and equipment are clean and safe at all times.
4.2 Keep walkways and exit doors are clear of equipment, material, tools, etc.
4.3 Be sure all required guards and safety equipment are properly used.
4.4 Sweep work area out to isle at end of shift.
5. Contribute to a Favorable Work Environment

7. Problem Solving
7.1 Solve problems with assistance of Lead Welders and/or Supervisor.
